This listing is for a premade book cover. This item is a one time purchase, and does not require a final payment. This cover can be used at any time, and does not expire. 

Each premade cover will only be sold once. It is first come first serve. No holds.

Once you have completed the purchase, Cover Me Darling will email you within 72 hours to gather the information needed to complete the cover. If you are not ready to use this cover yet, that is no problem at all! It will be held until you are ready.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By placing a deposit you are aware and agree to the terms & conditions below, and as such, will consider this as a binding professional contract. 

Payments : 

Pricing is shown in USD.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is placed when booking your cover package. (This listing is your 50% deposit)

The remaining 50% balance is due until approval of the cover itself, with the exception of the blurb and page count. Blurb and page count can be sent at any time, and the final print wrap will be set up within 7 days of final print details.

No final files will be sent until the final balance is paid. Ebook and Title & Name .png will be sent within 7 days of final payment.

Timeline :

Your cover design is booked for the month shown in this listing.

Design work will be done in a first come first serve fashion each month. If you have a specific timeline, please include it in your order notes.

Cover Me Darling will send a form to be filled out to gather information for your book cover design. This form will be sent prior to starting work on your cover. Please fill this out in a timely fashion as to streamline the work process.

Proofing process : 

Initial Concept

Cover Me Darling will send 1 initial proof. This proof will serve as a "are we on the same page" concept based on your form. From here we can either tweak that proof, or work up an entirely new concept

Revisions

There is an allowance of 10 proofs total that may be made to the design after initial proof. This includes but is not limited to; font changes, color changes, image/mood changes, mix and match of proofs, etc. Each additional change, beyond the allotted 10, will be $25. 

Time Frame

On average, from initial concept the completion, the design process takes up to a week to finalize (this accounts for the initial concept, changes, revisions, new concepts, etc) However, the average is based on communication time between Cover Me Darling and Client. Final files will be sent, pending final payment, within 5-7 days. Please note that additional changes do add extra time on Cover Me Darling’s part to complete. This may cause delay the completion of the final artwork. Cover Me Darling is not responsible for missed deadlines on the Client’s end due to additional changes or payments not made in a timely fashion. Please plan accordingly. 

Changes after approval

Any concept, proof, final file, or artwork, MAY NOT be altered by anyone except Marisa Black of Cover Me Darling, in whole or in part. The client also understands that additional charges may apply for any alterations after approval and/or after final files are sent. Changes after the final files are sent will begin at $50, and may increase with the amount of files that need to be altered.

Images : 

Cover Me Darling includes images from Deposit Photos in all packages at no additional charge to the client.

Client may provide their own image, with proof of purchase. This includes, but is not limited to; stock image websites, individual photographer, their own photography. 

Images must be at minimum 6x9, and 300dpi or higher.

Images found on google, not paid for, not licensed, will be considered stolen images, and Cover Me Darling reserves the right to report such theft. 

Cancellation : 

In the event of a cancellation before work has started, no further expenses will be owed, and your deposit can be applied at a later date.

If the work has begun on the project, the remaining balance will be owed. 

There will no refunds on any payment made, under any circumstance.

Should Cover Me Darling take longer to complete the project than originally indicated (i.e. family emergency, act of nature) the Client will be contacted via phone or email in order to agree upon a new project completion date.

Ownership of Artwork :

Cover Me Darling maintains full rights of all original artwork. Artwork AND CONCEPT, including layout, image style, placement, and fonts may NOT be recreated by another person (Client OR alternate artist included). 

The Client maintains the rights to the stock photo that they have downloaded. Artwork created and send in your final files package may be used for it's intended use and self promotion. However, the design itself must remain in tact, and may not be altered in any way.

The client understands that the any design may NOT be altered by anyone except Cover Me Darling, in whole or in part. The client also understands that additional charges may apply for any alterations after approval and/or after final files are sent.

Cover Me Darling always maintains the limited rights to the cover to use as any sort of self promotion, portfolio, client viewing, etc.

No final design will be resold, by either client, or Cover Me Darling. Proofs not chosen, that are NOT similar to the clients final design, may be used by Cover Me Darling again, as either a premade cover, or a proof for another client.

Attribution :

Cover Me Darling requires that design credit in the form of “Cover Design by Marisa Black of Cover Me Darling” in the clients ebook and paperback copy.

Liability :

Cover Me Darling is not liable for damages of any kind, including loss of revenues, profits, business, reputation, or data, in any way related to our services. Cover Me Darling is not responsible for any claim, loss, or injury based on errors or inaccuracies appearing on our site or in our clients’ written documents once the cover has been approved.

Code of Fair Practice : 

Cover Me Darling acknowledges that to the best of his/her knowledge, the work prepared is an original creation and has not been previously published and/or consent to use has been obtained on an unlimited basis. The work prepared does not contain any scandalous, libelous, or unlawful matter. The Client and/or others may not use Cover Me Darling’s product in any way that may infringe upon the rights of others. 

Acception of Terms : 

Both Cover Me Darling and the Client acknowledge acceptance of these terms. By placing your payment, you are acknowledging and agreeing to the terms and conditions listed above. The Client agrees to hold Cover Me Darling entirely free from any liability.
