Marisa is an Award Winning Designer, who currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her son, two fur-baby puppies, and two cats (yep, it’s never dull here!). However, she will forever be a Long Island girl at heart.
She proudly holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, with a concentration in Graphic Design and Photography. She entered the book world as an avid reader and book blogger. After meeting multiple authors who knew her art background and questioned why she wasn’t designing book covers instead, she decided to take the leap into the world of Book Cover Design.
In January of 2014, Cover Me Darling was born.
Before starting Cover Me Darling, she spent 10+ years in both the Photography and Graphic Design fields. Her objective is to take your vision and turn it into a reality, whether you know exactly what you want or need some direction. Aside from covers, she is also able to help authors create a brand by designing logos, swag, and banners. Image is crucial in this world, and Marisa is here to help you succeed and get noticed.
Marisa has worked with everyone from New York Times & USA Today Bestselling Authors, to first time Indie Authors. She has won multiple awards for her Book Cover Design work. Marisa also has a second company, Premades 4 Authors 2.0, which she runs with Cassy Roop, Emma Rider, and Tracie Weston, to provide beautiful Pre-made Book Cover and Logo designs.
Alissa is a wordsmith and small town girl with big dreams…only if those dreams don’t require her to put on real pants.
She lives in the same small town in Northern Illinois where she grew up, along with her husband, two daughters, and two crazy cats. Between assisting Marisa with all things Cover Me Darling and running a kitchen in a Sportsman’s Club three days a week, she is also an award winning editor and proofreader, and a crafter—making resin art, tumblers, and handmade organic bath and body products for her side gig, Moonbeams & Daydreams. When not assisting or making a mess in her craft space, you can find her on her couch watching murder mysteries or curled up with her Kindle.
